Phil hails from Dublin, Ireland, and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. He has a Design Approval Representative Appointment (DAR-87) with Transport Canada. His 30 years’ experience in the aerospace industry includes executive positions with Rockwell Collins Flight Dynamics, BAE Systems, Max-Viz Inc., Bendix and Simmonds Precision. Phil has written and presented several white papers at industry symposia and conferences. He has also written a book on the development of commercial Head-Up Displays called "The Future was Looking Up".

Walter L. Gist, vice president military programs

Walter is a native of California who attended Pepperdine University, majored in Business Administration and has been active on the Board of the Aerospace Historical Society, the Santa Monica Museum of Flight and the Society of Experimental Test Pilots. Prior to joining the Moylan Marketing team, he held executive positions with BAE Systems, GEC Marconi, Simmonds Precision and Hydraulic Research Textron. He’s built solid and lasting relationships with companies like Boeing Military, Lockheed-Martin, Northrop-Grumman and Raytheon.

Richard C. Hanson, vice president strategic projects

Dick holds an Engineering degree from the University Nebraska and an MS degree in Systems Management from the University of Southern California. He’s an ATP rated pilot with over 9000 hours in both military and civil aircraft. His 30 years’ experience in the aerospace industry included executive positions in flight operations with Rockwell Collins Flight Dynamics, BAE Systems, Max-Viz Inc., Piper Aircraft and the U.S. Air Force.

David E. Warren, vice president European operations

David has a marketing degree from the Chartered Institute of Marketing and is a member of the Royal United Services Institute in London. He’s held several senior management positions in aviation and telecommunications and has been a member of the Federation of Electronics Industries/ Society of British Aerospace Companies Civil Avionics Committee. Over 25 years in the industry has seen David working with the likes of Stratos Aeronautical Ltd., British Telecom, BAE Systems and GEC Marconi.

Jin Lan, vice president China operations

Jin graduated from the Beijing Institute of Foreign Trade and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Science & International Trade from Portland State University. He’s had significant success in helping U.S. companies establish strategic relationships with relevant entities in the Peoples Republic of China. During his 20 years in the aerospace industry, Jin has helped many U.S. companies gain market entry and patent protection in China.

Mike Burns, vice president government relations

Mike holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Math and Physics, and a Master’s Degree in Ordnance Systems Engineering. He’s a graduate of the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard, and served 28 years in the United States Marine Corps, Aviation. He’s held executive management positions in Business Development and Marketing with BAE Systems, Marconi and GEC Ferranti. He’s built relationships with leading aerospace defense firms in Washington DC, and with Pentagon staff and military departments

George R. Kanellis, finance and technology

George has an MBA and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Iowa State University. He worked with Moylan Marketing personnel for many years while at Flight Dynamics. He was responsible for developing innovative analytics to demonstrate the economic benefits of Heads Up Display technology. His 40 years’ experience in aviation has included senior positions in Engineering Liaison and Marketing Analysis with Boeing.

Chad W. Jennings, SVS / integration

Chad has a PhD from Stanford where he lead a research team in the development and integration of SVS. He was a founder of Nav3D, who in conjunction with companies like Boeing, BAE Systems and NASA, pioneered technologies in SVS, MMW and HUD.

Charles P. Aaron, helicopter operations

Chuck has been flying helicopters for 35 years and has worked extensively with Moylan Marketing personnel during that time. He’s worked with the U.S. government, Department of Defense, ITAR and the FAA. He’s held critical positions in the development of airborne weapons, guidance and sighting systems. He’s presented various aviation issues to Congressmen and Senators in Washington DC and has presented briefings to numerous foreign and domestic military Commanders, Generals, and State Department officials

J.R. ‘Skip’ Lam, helicopter operations

Skip has been an aviator for 36 years, 22 of which he served in the U.S. Army. He’s fixed and rotary wing rated with over 9000 hours of flying time. Skip also has 19 years experience in sales and marketing management in government and civil aviation, with an intimate knowledge of Department of Defense contracting structure. He has a Master’s Degree in Aeronautical Science and has served as a military instructor pilot.

Paul holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, a PGDipTS in Solid State Electronics and an M.Phil for research in magnetic physics. He has 34 years experience in the aerospace industry with Marconi-Elliott, Marconi Avionics Inc, GEC-Marconi and BAE Systems. He specializes in the design and development of airborne electronic visual systems. His work covers disciplines such as engineering, project, and program management on military and civil HUD programs, from proposal through product development, installation, certification and subsequent production. Paul is currently involved in the development of advanced HUD products using revolutionary new optical and display technologies.

Roger H. Hoh, auto flight systems

Roger has Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Aerospace Engineering. His career has been focussed on research, development and evaluation of fixed and rotary wing aircraft performance. His expertise covers flight control systems and cockpit displays, having authored some 60 technical papers on these topics. Roger’s company, Hoh Aeronautics, has been devoted to the analysis of and solutions for issues involving cockpit displays and flight control for 20 years.

Paul E. Sterbenz, flight operations

Paul has a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Engineering. With North American Airlines, he has established a worldwide satellite voice and data communication system that provides aircraft position reports, fuel monitoring and real time aero data downlinked from the aircraft to SOC. He also oversees the Technical Publications Department, developing an ATOS compliant manual set in collaboration with FAA. He’s also implemented behaviour-based interviewing processes to identify, recruit and retain highly qualified pilots.

Brian  D. Riese, UAV Specialist

Brian brings over 20 years of military and government management expertise.  While serving as a Battalion Operations Officer, he was responsible for fielding the US Army’s Shadow family of UAVs at the brigade combat level.  His efforts helped synchronize UAV flight training, operations, maintenance, and tactical deployment and his experience with these systems in training and actual combat led to the successful deployment of UAVs within his brigade.  In Iraq in 2009, Mr. Riese managed the Base Defense Operations Center where he designed, developed, integrated and deployed a diverse array of battlefield systems including UAS, ground surveillance radar, and aerostats to provide a real-time common operating picture for US Forces.

Roy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Technology from Moody Aviation, in Tennessee as well as US FAA A&P and Canadian AME licenses. He has been a leader of a number of new innovative “Next Generation” technologies including developing, certifying, marketing, and working with key FAA management personnel to facilitate new operational rulemaking.
